CentsJS empowers our partners to seamlessly integrate charitable giving into everyday transactions. This flexible solution allows cardholders to make one-time donations — either by rounding up to the nearest euro or donating a specific amount — in two distinct scenarios: directly at the point of payment or immediately following a transaction on the thank-you page. With Cents, even routine purchases, like buying a new pair of shoes, can transform into meaningful contributions to causes that matter. Our secure and streamlined process ensures that every donation is a simple, yet powerful, act of generosity.

Simplified integration in just three steps​

Integrating into your system is immediate and intuitive, carried out in three key steps:

  1. JavaScript Code Insertion: All you need to do is add a few lines of JavaScript code, provided by us, to your checkout or thank you page. You won't need to worry about the graphic aspect: the user interface is configured and managed entirely by us, ensuring seamless integration.

  2. Manage the donation payment: Cents communicates the donation amount and the cause, you have to handle this information to manage a donation transaction (eventually within the main commerce transaction)

  3. Order Confirmation with Flexibility: To ensure correct order processing, your backend will need to invoke our simple API. If you prefer to further reduce integration effort, we offer an alternative option: exporting orders, both manually and automatically. These can be uploaded to an FTP directory or sent directly via email.

These steps are designed to minimize the effort of integration into your existing environment, allowing you to take advantage of the offered features without complications.

Options​

Cents provides three flexible options for integrating donations into your product. Specifically, CentsJS can be implemented as follows:

  1. On the checkout page with split payment: Integrate the donation directly into the checkout process, managing it via a split payment that includes the purchase and donation amounts in a single transaction.

  2. On the checkout page with separate transaction: Place it on the checkout page to handle the donation through a separate transaction from the purchase.

  3. On the thank you page with separate transaction: Implement it on the thank you page, immediately after the main transaction is completed, with the donation managed through a separate transaction.
